Algorithm Protection
Google updates constantly. We detect traffic drops, correlate them with known updates, diagnose root causes, and generate recovery plans automatically.
How we detect updates
Traffic Monitoring
We track organic traffic continuously. When traffic drops more than 20% over 7 days (vs. the previous week), an alert fires immediately. You're notified before you might even notice the problem yourself.
Algorithm Correlation
We maintain a database of known Google updates and their dates. When a traffic drop is detected, the system checks whether it aligns with a known update, what the update targeted, and whether your site has matching vulnerability signals.
Diagnostic Report
If an update was likely responsible, we generate a diagnostic report: “A Core Update rolled out on [date]. Your site lost traffic on [date]. The update targeted [focus areas]. Your site shows [N] signals that may have been penalized.”
How to bounce back
Core Algorithm Update
Low-quality or thin content
- →Content refresh: rewrite thin/low-effort pages
- →E-E-A-T audit: strengthen author credentials and expertise signals
- →Internal linking: strengthen topical authority clusters
- →Backlink audit: disavow toxic links, rebuild quality link profile
Product Reviews Update
Shallow or affiliate-heavy reviews
- →Review content rewrite: add original testing/experience
- →Original data: include comparative analysis and specifications
- →Author credentials: highlight reviewer expertise and credibility
- →Unique insights: emphasize advantages/disadvantages beyond marketing copy
Link Spam Update
Low-quality backlinks and manipulative linking
- →Backlink audit: identify and disavow spam sources
- →Link profile rebuild: focus on authoritative, relevant links
- →Anchor text review: remove exact-match spam patterns
- →Content quality: improve link-worthiness of target pages
Helpful Content Update
AI-generated or low-utility content
- →Content audit: identify pages created purely to rank (vs. to help)
- →Original value: add unique research, original data, or insights
- →Author expertise: highlight author qualifications and experience
- →User satisfaction: improve UX, readability, and content usefulness
If we detect thin content, low E-E-A-T signals, or other patterns previous updates targeted, we generate recommendations BEFORE the next update.
If sites in your industry were hit by previous updates, we recommend the exact changes that helped recovery. Learn from others' pain.
Stay ahead of the next update
We don't just react to updates — we improve based on them. Tracking across all sites helps us understand which recovery strategies work fastest and what signals predict algorithm vulnerability.
Fix vulnerabilities proactively — before Google penalizes them.
Tracking major algorithm changes
We maintain a historical database of Google algorithm updates, including:
Core Updates
Helpful Content
Link Spam
Product Reviews
Spam Updates
Ranking Updates
When a traffic drop is detected, the system checks this database to correlate with known updates and identify likely causes. This cuts diagnosis time from weeks to hours.
